Tractel BSO 500P - Blocstop Bso Security System

An additional safety system in accordance with EN 1808 is mandatory for human use. The system is used to secure the work basket or platform from falling.

This is exactly what our Blocstop does. It is small, light and compact and is connected to the work platform through which the safety rope runs.

BSO – Blocstop; For speed limit detection:

If the movement of the safety rope exceeds a certain speed, the BSO is automatically triggered and securely catches the load. The safety rope is held between the clamping jaws, preventing further slippage of the rope. However, the surface of the clamping jaws is large enough to prevent damage to the rope. The Blocstop BSO is designed to grip the clamping jaws more firmly as the load on the rope increases.

In addition, the Blocstop BSO has been tested multiple times using rated load to provide an extremely large margin of safety.

We are constantly working to improve our products. With the 2021 generation BSO, we were able to reduce the shock factor in the event of a fall.

BSA – Blocstop - For detecting platform slope or wire rope slack:

Unlike the BSO, the BSA's clamping jaws are triggered not by overspeed, but by following the sling. The BSA is held open by an arm supported by a roller on the suspension rope. If the sling breaks, this support stops and the BSA closes.

In exactly the same way as the BSO, the clamping jaws compress the safety rope and prevent the load or platform from falling.
