Tractel BSA 15,301 - Blocstop Bsa Security System

An additional safety system in accordance with EN 1808 is mandatory for human use. The system is used to secure the work basket or platform against falling.

This is exactly what our Fall Stopper does. They are small, light and compact and are attached to the work platform through which the safety rope runs.

BSA – Blocstop is used to detect platform slope or wire rope slack:

Unlike BSO, BSA's clamping jaws are not triggered by overspeed, but by tracking the suspension rope. The BSA is held open by a lever supported by a roller on the suspension rope. If the suspension rope breaks, this support stops and the BSA closes.

In exactly the same way as BSO, the clamping jaws compress the safety rope and prevent the load or platform from falling.

On platforms with two suspension points, the parallel arrangement of the suspension and safety ropes allows the system to monitor the slope of the platform. If one side of the platform descends, the BSA closes from the bottom and catches the platform before the slope reaches a critical angle.
